I took these yesterday in Copley Square on my lunch break. I finally got to play with my new lens, baby.
Also, photographers, wannabes, and enthusiasts alike, tomorrow MAY 5, 2007 Flickr (with the help of Heather Champ) is launching a new photo project: 24 hours of Flickr.
What happens around the world in one day? In a word – life. Here on Flickr, photographers are sharing what they see: snapping daily moments, recording history, telling stories, capturing beauty.
To celebrate this global community, we invite you to join us in “24 Hours of Flickr” – a day-long global photo project. On May 5, 2007, grab your camera and whatever else you need, and chronicle your day in pictures. The group’s photos will be featured at Flickr events around the world this summer and in a companion book, which will contain a selection of photographs chosen from the group (more about this soon!).
Check it out here and join the group here.
I’m going to attempt to participate – as much as I can. Tomorrow during the day won’t be a problem, but that night I am fancy-ing myself up, taking myself out on a dinner date, and then going to the Colin Hay benefit show over at the Brattle. Talk about amazing dates, I would totally sleep with me.
So if you plan on participating, comment here or email me – let me know! I want to check out your 24 hours!
Happy shooting!

i’m joining! my plans for tomorrow involve bison burgers in Waltham and then later lots of Patron in quincy. should be some interesting photos. :-P
I’ll try and do that since I’ll be out with my dog getting him photographed and videotaped for a Boston Pops event. They want to do it all in Fenway Park tomorrow. So those will be great shots for the program!!
I’ve been wanting a lens baby for my Olympus. Which camera store did you get yours at? Good price?
I actually got my Lensbaby on the exhibit floor at Photoshop World at the beginning of April … I had been lusting after one for close to a year and they were selling them $50 off list price so I played around with it for a few minutes and scooped up the last Nikon one.
Lately I’ve only been doing photography “work” and forgot how fun taking pictures can be. Yesterday, tinkering around with that new toy reminded me why I started taking pictures in the first place. Totally worth it.
ah damn it… i wanted to do the flickr project, but I am in bed with a terrible cold :(
This is a little late, but I just made your zuccini pancakes last night. Sweet baby Jesus those things are awesome. Sooo easy to make, wicked fast, and incredibly delicious. I’m not sure how many servings your recipe was *supposed* to make, but I can tell you that it amounted to a single for me.
Could not stop eating.
So thanks for the recipe!
(I think) :)
I got a Lens baby 3 years ago and haven’t used it much. Get a holga and a scanner and you’ll have some real fun :)
