Don’t Stand So Close To Me

On Sunday night, Hooker, my sister Kate, roommate Ellen, and Ellen’s nephew went to see The Police at Fenway Park.
We were lucky enough to get right on the field. We were dumb enough to not bring a camera. (Actually my sister called me and told me to bring her camera. But I told her it would just get taken away. And then we got to Fenway and everyone had cameras. Oops. … in my defense usually you CAN’T bring them.) So we ran to Store 24 and bought the crappiest disposable camera $20 could buy.

We were pretty god damn close to that stage.

Aw, we’re precious.

I take back the “we’re”.
Anyway, Hooker told me he’s posting pics today too, and any entry I could write would pale in comparison. The boy has a gift with words. So I’ll leave you with the Flickr Set and instructions on how to play “Drinking Roxanne” me and my sister’s favorite Police themed drinking game.

Drinking Roxanne:
Play with two people or two teams.
Designate one person as “Roxanne” and the other as “The Red Light”.
Push play.
When you hear your ‘team’ – drink!
Rooooxaaaane! TEAM ONE DRINK!
You don’t have to put on the reeed light TEAM TWO DRINK!
And so on and so forth to drunken Police happiness.

I went on Sunday night, too, but my seats weren’t nearly as good!

that roxanne drinking song nearly killed me my freshman year of college, i believe :)
sometimes it’s hard to keep up at the end because you get laughing so hard. it’s just inherently ridiculous.
and that’s why it’s great.

I am so GLAD someone else is as ridiculous as me and my sis. Thank you Kated!

I also fell victim to the Roxanne drinking game… so much fun.
I’m still waiting for Billy Joel to come to Fenway!

I saw Billy Joel once in Syracuse — to date it was probably one of the best shows I’ve ever been to.
