The way my voice sounds when I have a cold/allergies. I like it better than my “real” voice. Of course I realize that I am probably the only one who feels this way about it. And, as such, I apologize to all of you who have had to listen to my scratchy, nasally voice the past week (ragweed! grr!) …. even though I’m not really sorry and just loving it.
Weird self-esteem boosting Friday, get into it. Your turn.

Here’s a weird one – I like the weird dark circles under my eyes. Not from tiredness, from Italian-ness. It goes along with that whole olive skin thing.
You were probably doing much more exciting things…but remember on “Friends” when Phoebe desperately tries to catch a cold after discovering that her voice is sexier and her singing better when she has phlegm in her throat (ep 78., I didn’t have that memorized…I spent the better part of 7 minutes looking it up on tv(dot)com)…I too like the sound of my scratch, husky voice w/cold…maybe I could develop an allergy to ragweed.
My cell phone outgoing voicemail message was recorded a year ago when I had an upper respiratory thing going on. I wanted to keep my voice like that forever…
For us guys, the end of a cold can make us sound like smooth R+B singers.
Valbee – I’ve only recorded outgoing messages when I’ve had a little thing going on … haha.
You’re not the only one! I love how husky and dare I say, sexy, my voice sounds when I’m sick. ;)
I hate my sick voice! I sound like a drag queen.
Haha .. I do too. Which makes my obsession even more questionable and odd!
