The other day my birthday twin Chris said to me “Hey! 1+2+2+4+1+9+8+0 = 27!” (Numbers of our birthday broken down by day, month and year and then added together.)

He thinks it means that it will be a good year.

And I think I just might believe him.

In other news, I’m taking a short blogging hiatus. I have this whole week off and I’ve got some plans that actually don’t involve the internet and/or my laptop. So Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, etc etc etc.

I’ll see you in 2008.

Is ANYONE out there productive in any way this week?

Interesting story: I was walking to work thinking about how pretty the city looked. The snow was falling lightly, not sticking, it was oddly warm. So I take out my camera and start snapping these lovely photos of my lovely walk. Then I get to work and Sarah IMs me to tell me what disgusting day it is, how terrible the snow is, and how she’s working from home because of it. A coworker confirmed her story.

I am convinced that today I am living in another dimension.

Club Ice is an annual event for charity (this year for the Ellie Fund). My job afforded me a wristband for the VIP lounge which meant free drinks, free food, free drinks, free entertainment, and did I mention free drinks?

You could buy a balloon for $20, pop it and win the prize inside. I bought and won a lovely prize which I will not reveal here, since it will make for an absolutely perfect gift for someone else! But the prizes ranged from restaurant gift cards, to round trip flights, to a $5,000 diamond necklace. (I did not win the diamond necklace. Ha.)

But have you ever had a weird feeling that something bad is going to happen? You have no idea what or when, but you just know it. You feeeeeeeel it.

I’ve gotten these weird feelings before while getting in the car to run errands and get so freaked out, I step out of the car and go back inside. Errands be damned! I’ve probably mentioned this before and how when I’ve said it, people usually respond with “Uh. Yeah. MmmmK”. But for real guys. I had a feeeeling. Something could happen. A flat tire? Rear ended? A shoe sale I shouldn’t see because I would spend all the money I don’t have? I don’t know, but I tell you what: I’m not about to find out.

(For the record nothing catastrophically bad has actually ever happened when I’ve felt like this, but regardless, I still think “But what if it DID?”)

I made a comment about it at dinner the other night to a coworker, and again last night to my friend Danielle. That creepy weird feeling? It needs to go away. Because I got a birthday coming up (5 days! WOO!), this is not the time for uninvited surprises, mishaps, or feeeeeeeelings. It IS the time for carefree birthday celebrating in karaoke, bowling, and eating form (and, oh yeah, toootally milking this entire weekend for all it’s worth).

(PS If you slip and fall on the ice and slide into oncoming traffic or something today, can you let me know? Maybe I’m channeling it from you. — But seriously, it’s slippery as f*ck out there today. Be careful.)

Oh yeah, one more thing: There’s another Spears baby on the way. This time, it’s not Brits. WTF.
