we have our Gala coming up…so it almost doesn’t seem like the holidays. BUT, by tomorrow night it will, can’t wait!

I have no choice :::sigh::: After Project Hell that made my life chaos for a month, all our appeal documents due TODAY! No pressure, not at all.
To add to that, the boss is out of the office, leaving me behind to wage war with the court system’s electronic filing, wait for a clerk to call me back about a problem with the filing (I think Santa will materialize first) and no Starbucks available to cool my nerves.
At this rate, I’m ready to run to the breakroom and grab one of the beers that is earmarked for attorneys only.
Productive not by choice, but necessity.
unfortunately, yes, overly productive. Year-end is always highly intense in the finance world. And annoyingly enough, I finished my christmas shopping two weeks ago. As you haven’t mentioned your insomnia lately, is it safe to assume that it hasn’t been an issue? I get more done between midnight and 2 then all the other hours in the day. Also, I find that by not having a blog, I end getting a lot more accomplished…just kidding…now I’m off to buy stock in rocksalt mining companies and shovel manufacturers.
ohhh..08/08/08 would be cool!
the not drinking isn’t as hard as i thought it would be….yet…sort of.

jenny, to answer your question – i am definitely not productive AT ALL.
allyson – i don’t know you but CONGRATULATIONS! :)
and actually yes, i have been productive for the first half of the week because my clients are all stressed out by the fact that i will be gone until january 7th after today. so they cramped every project they had into the first two days of the week, telling me it was all URGENT [which maybe half of it was...] and by wednesday afternoon, things were pretty much clear.
BUT that leaves me with having to face the [HUGE] pile of invoices i have to file away and successfully avoided for the last, oh, six months… i actually thought about cleaning the kitchen cabinets but that’s really the cleaning lady’s job and my boss will probably take my computer away from me if the pile is still here after the holidays.
see, i’m even taking over your comment section just to avoid having to start filing. i’ll probably be here on christmas eve still. AHRG!
