My friend Jeannie makes cupcakes more delicious than you’ve ever had ever. (She substituted espresso(!) for vanilla extract that would normally go in the frosting. OH HOLY JESUS. So good.)

A picture of me and some high school pals after a band concert (see once a nerd, always a nerd!). I don’t know the exact date on this photo, but I’d say it was probably 1995 or 1996? And I was 14 or 15. And had dark brown hair. And clearly was unaware of the existence of make up (what up, corpse!).
Thanks Joe for passing this one along. Made my morning.

Just finished the site and got it up.

If you’re in the Boston/Quincy area, you must give this place a go. It’s delicious. Tell them Jenny sent you.

I know I missed a couple of days with the daily photo this week. It’s not because I’m lazy, I’m just totally immersed in a new side project. But to make it up to you, I sort of have two photos for you today.
I looked down on the subway and noticed Andy was wearing one black glove and one blue glove. He said “This is how I live, Jenny.” and then proceeded to pose for a 15 frame photoshoot. The bottom one was the cutest. (Also, please notice the woman who hid herself behind her newspaper.)

So that new HBO Film John Adams, are non-Bostonians as into this as my friends and I are? (The seven part series is based on David McCullough’s Pulitzer Prize winning book of the same name and is FANTASTIC.)
We’re all kind of history-loving nerds (especially Boston’s history – hello this stuff happened RIGHT HERE), and last night we actually had the discussion about how, historically speaking, we are really lucky. I mean really, who hasn’t studied Massachusetts history? Boston Tea Parties, Boston Massacres, Paul Revere, etc etc etc.
Though I suppose our love of history is kind of limited …
“Seriously, everyone knows what happened here. Did you ever study the history of, like California, past that gold rush stuff?”
“The only way I remember when that happened is because their team is called the 49ers!”
“Oh, wait? Is that why? You just blew my mind.”
“……”
But really, go watch it. And be sure to look away when they show a tar and feathering. Sounds funny, is horrific.
