Preparing For Take Off

Last night I:

Organized and packed all of my clothes for my trip (including laying out my travel outfit),

Retreated my favorite and most comfortable leather boots with special leather protectant in case it’s particularly wet during my travels,

Organized and packed three additional pairs of shoes (Shut up, I need them),

Organized and packed most of my health/beauty stuff (leaving out the obvious like toothbrush, leave in conditioner, etc),

Removed and backed up any personal information on my laptop,

Managed to clear an additional 12 gigs of space off my laptop for trip photos,

Cleared and reformatted my memory cards,

Charged the following: three camera batteries, three sets of flash batteries, iPod, and cell phone,

(For the curious, I somehow managed to get all of the above into a single carry on sized piece of luggage. I freaking RULE.)

Wrote out any checks and paid any bills that are due while I’m away,

Transferred some “emergency money” over into the account that links to the ATM card I am bringing; and, finally,

Made a list of items that need to be dealt with or fixed on my car while I’m away (Hello inspection sticker, oil change, tire rotation… I am dropping my baby off tonight so I won’t even miss her).

I am SO ready to get the hell out of here. Could you tell?

Definitely. Where are you headed? If you happen to be anywhere near St Louis, drop me a line.
