Pretend You’re on the T

Normally I wouldn’t suggest this, because how much fun is it really riding the subway? Especially today where there was not one but TWO disabled trains on my commute to work. Not much fun. But this is a (really foggy) clip of me riding the T through my favorite part of the Boston subway system. (Recognize the bridge?)

Oh, I love coming up after Kendall on the way to MGH…it’s my favorite ride, too.

I remember when Jack and I were together, and I’d be on the Red Line early Monday mornings heading home for work, and I’d always look up from my book/Metro as we headed toward the street.

It was wonderful to see everyone else sort of perk up and come alive, too, looking out at the Charles.

Great video!

You’re right about that being the only pleasant part of the morning commute. Although it drives me crazy that the trains crawl along the bridge now since it’s apparently structurally unsound or something. Hurry up MBTA! You make me late enough as it is.

I agree, I always love watching the city when I ride across the Longfellow Bridge. It’s been one thing I’ve loved since my first apartment way back in ’98 in good old Slummerville.
