Somebody got an iPhone.

I have to tell you, for all the hype and “You’ll never get one if you don’t wait out” that I heard, I had a ridiculously easy morning. I was driving to work, planning on hitting up the AT&T store on Boylston Street sometime today, and happened to see an AT&T store five minutes from my apartment (that I’ve passed probably a million times and never noticed). It was 7:15 am and there were only 5 people out front. I pulled over, pulled out my David Sedaris book, and waited for about a half an hour. The AT&T employees at this particular location were very organized and had everyone fill out forms so we’d be ready to go at 8:00. And by 8:10 I was out the door with my new baby.
I’ve been wanting an iPhone (for obvious reasons *cough* APPLE NERD *cough*) since they first came out. But I have to say, with the new features and the new price (YES), I am actually happy I was stuck in a Verizon contract for another year.
You know what you all have to look forward to now? Blogging/Twittering/Etc all the time for no good reason. Yippee!
(For those of you that asked, that IS a 16G. The 16s come in black and white now, but I went with the black one. Good story.)

HAAHAH YES! Which I am now FOR REAL almost done with!!
UMMMM! you forgot to mention the part when you woke up your sister (who had been working on her lit. review since midnight the night before) AT 7:30 AM in a state of panic!!! and she lovingly drove to southie with your old phone charger in hand!!!! hahahaha! Thanks for the coffee by the way!
SHUT UP. YOU SHUT UP NOW.
(thanks though. you WERE my first call! I hope the coffee was good!)
Yay Jenny! Congrats on the lovely new phone. Loving the picture of you making out with it, by the way. ;-)
That’s one fabulous way to start a Friday!
Yes, I make it a point to make out with all of my Apple products. They are just so lickable!
Nice score! Chris is still waiting in line in Natick like a fool. I told him not to go out there just so he could wait on line with his friend. Who leaves the city to get a phone…my boyfriend.
PS: I really want the white one. I’m trying to hold myself back. It should last for about a week probably. I hate that my fabulous first gen iphone is now less than the best. We apple addicts have to keep up appearances, right?
Enjoy your toy!
Ahah — yeah I knew I was hitting an AT&T store…as much as I love the Apple store, I just didn’t have the patience to wait in THAT line!! haha.
What no phone call to daddio? Thanks…LOL…enjoy
Oh crap, I got one too but was waiting in line at the Boylston store from 6:15 am and I didn’t have it in my hands till NOON!!! They were seemingly very organized but really just overstaffed I think and letting everyone linger too long once they got in the store. I’m sorry, get your phone and get out you bastards! There are hundreds of people behind you!
Anyway, then the activation process wasn’t even working so I didn’t get it activated until about 4:15 on my own computer at home.
BUT, it’s awesome.
