It’s true. And it’s especially true when those glasses are broken and have only one lens forcing the girl wearer to HOLD the lens in front of her EYE. I mean. That’s hot.
See Exhibit A: my piece of shit glasses that broke while I was driving to work this morning.
The lenses have been falling out on a regular basis for .. oh the past 6 months. Today the screw popped out and the frames separated making it painfully obvious that IT’S TIME FOR A NEW PAIR, JENNY.
I don’t know what kind to get. Another pair of black frames? (I’ve been sporting black frames since 2001.) Do I go tortoise? Do I say “Eff it,” and go all contacts, all the time?
Do the work for me and post some cute frames/suggestions/thoughts/opinions in the comments. I’m too busy looking like a lenless hobo today. Thanks!

I say contacts, and then get a fab pair of sunglasses!
I must yet again recommend http://www.zennioptical.com because you can get several pair of cute glasses for less than you can get one pair most places.
I have like 6 pairs of glasses from their site and I loved 5 of them. Sure it’s hard not being able to try them on ahead of time, but if you know what looks good on you it’s easy.
If you search my flickr photostream for zenni you will see all the cute pairs I have. My favorite pair is the one I’m wearing now and it cost me all of like $18.
Lasik! I had glasses for 20 years and finally got rid of them a few years ago. It has been amazing. TLCvision in Waltham is great. I highly, highly reccomend it.
I love when you use the term “hobo”
Honestly, I really like you with glasses and the black ones are just great and go with EVERYTHING!
I would start with that and then maybe, if you have some spare money, invest also in a little more fancy, more color-ful pair :)
I love girls in glasses….just sayin’
