Calling All Boston Area Fitness Gals

Does anyone want to form a team with me for this challenge? I need at least 3 non-members of Healthworks (my gym), but if chosen, you’ll have access to any of the 5 Boston area Healthworks!

(You get to use any of the 5 facilities throughout the challenge if our team gets picked! So that’s a bonus. But I have to warn you – you’ll get sucked in. I love that place. Oh and if you do … you know who referred you ;) haha)

AWESOME! I’m compiling a list of all the girls interested. If I get enough (members and non-members) I’ll shoot out and email and we’ll all coordinate!!

In theory I would be interested but I am more than terrified by it and also in terrible shape still and also am going to Italy for a week in September. Phew. Look at that, I just saved you from me.

Hi Jenni,

So are we competing on fitness skill like strength, agility, etc. or is this a fitness challenge about how losing weight and fat, building lean muscle…?

From what I gather, the challenge is about OVERALL progress.

This is from the site:

The entire team is assessed at the beginning of the competition in four categories (weight loss, wall sit, plank, and modified push up). The team with the greatest percentage of change wins! (We select two teams per club, so 10 teams in total are competing against one another.)

So not everyone will be on the same level to start or to end, but it’s the greatest progress and level of change that wins!!

Hmmm…I’m honestly interested (and a non-member). But I’m pretty sure I’m too far away from Boston (and “Boston area locations”) to play. Hope you can find enough people! :-)
