Daily Photo: “Borrowed” Lilacs

Walking home from the T, I smelled these and couldn’t resist (oops!). There is nothing more intoxicating than the smell of lilacs.
The glass that they are sitting pretty in was a gift from Hooker’s mom. It’s a gorgeous piece of teal glass that was blown in Dennis, MA. I had been using it for tealights, but the lilacs needed something prettier than a plain old glass vase.

I don’t know that there is a more pungently wonderful smelling flower. Or, well, branch of flowers.
